One of our favorite ingredients and one that we get a lot of questions about is Dimethylaminoethanol or DMAE, which is a fruit acid, almost like a vinegar, derived from apples and red grapes. When applied to skin, DMAE stimulates acetylcholine release (a transmission of nerve impulses), triggering a response in the muscles of the face, thus improving facial tone. Studies have shown DMAE to be an amazing nutrient that extends the life of cells.
